TODAY’S TOP STORIES

🇫🇷 France To Allocate Up To 10% Of Its Reserves To Bitcoin?

François Asselineau, a French presidential candidate, has come out advocating for France to allocate up to 10% of its national reserves to BTC in order to counter the endless money printing by central banks globally. Asselineau sees BTC as a tool to resist the erosion of financial freedom. He argues that Bitcoin's fixed supply of 21M units offers protection against the inflationary tendencies of traditional fiat currencies. Clever guy. Cointribune

🍗 Kentucky Senate Bill To Secure Bitcoin Self-Custody

Kentucky's Senate unanimously passed a bill protecting Bitcoin self-custody and mining rights, sending it to the Governor's desk for final approval. The bill ensures individuals can use self-hosted wallets and prevents discriminatory zoning laws against digital asset mining businesses. Additionally, it exempts home miners from money transmitter licensing and clarifies that mining and staking services are not securities. If signed, Kentucky will join other Bitcoin-friendly states in the US. Bitcoin Magazine

🏛️ Bill to Hodl Trump's Bitcoin Stack Permanently

Representative Byron Donalds introduced a bill to make President Trump's executive order on a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve permanent, preventing future administrations from reversing it. The bill mandates a purchase plan of 200,000 BTC annually for five years, aiming for a total of 1M BTC, integrating it with national economic strategies via the Exchange Stabilization Fund. Donalds views bitcoin as a crucial store of value, vital for enhancing America's global economic standing. Bitcoin News
