A new Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) has been introduced, outlining a three-phase plan to migrate Bitcoin to post-quantum cryptography before quantum computers can break current encryption. The proposal warns that roughly 25% of all Bitcoins with exposed public keys are vulnerable to quantum theft. Phase A blocks transactions to quantum-vulnerable addresses, Phase B makes old signatures invalid after two years, and Phase C offers potential recovery options. 💰 Cantor Fitzgerald Eyes $3.5B Bitcoin Haul From Blockstream

Brandon Lutnick's Cantor Fitzgerald is reportedly closing in on a massive Bitcoin acquisition, planning to purchase 30,000 BTC worth $3.5B from Adam Back’s Blockstream Capital through a SPAC merger. The deal would rename the vehicle BSTR Holdings and includes plans to raise an additional $800M for more Bitcoin purchases.
