TODAY’S TOP STORIES
⚔️ Bitcoin Knots Surges to 25% of Nodes in Spam Wars
Bitcoin Knots has exploded to 25% of all public Bitcoin nodes, jumping 47% in just days as disgruntled users revolt against Bitcoin Core's plan to lift data embedding limits. This ideological battle echoes 2017's block size wars, with Knots supporters fearing blockchain bloat while Core advocates embrace transaction freedom. The October release of Core version 30 could trigger a chain split if compatibility breaks down. As more people switch to Knots, it’s not just a sign of frustration with Core but also a desire for alternatives. Some see this as decentralization; others see it as fragmentation. Bitcoin News
🏴☠️ Canada Allegedly Seizes $32M from Privacy Exchange
TradeOgre, a popular non-KYC exchange favored by Monero users, went dark in July before mysteriously moving $32M in Bitcoin and Ethireum this week. Blockchain messages claim the Royal Canadian Mounted Police seized the funds, though it's unclear if this represents an official government seizure or an elaborate exit scam blaming Canadian authorities. Either way, millions of users' funds have vanished from the custodial exchange that required only an email to register. NYKNYC. The Rage
🇨🇳 China's Biggest Bitcoin Treasury Eyes $500M Stock Sale for More BTC
Next Technology Holding, China's largest corporate Bitcoin treasury firm, filed to sell up to $500M in stock to buy more Bitcoin. The company currently holds 5,833 BTC worth $671M, making it the 15th largest Bitcoin treasury firm globally. If half the proceeds go toward Bitcoin purchases, Next Technology could add another 2,170 BTC to its stack, joining 190 publicly listed companies now holding over 1M Bitcoin combined. Cointelegraph
