πŸ›οΈ Warsh's Fed Nomination Comes With an Altcoin Bag

Kevin Warsh, Trump's Fed chair nominee, disclosed equity in Lightning startup Flashnet in Senate confirmation filings. The same forms show over $100 million in assets including altcoins, Polymarket, SpaceX, and AI bets, with divestment pledges on the conflicts.

Why it matters: Bitcoin literacy at the Fed’s helm is an upgrade, but altcoins and Polymarket bets next to a Lightning stake are the tell. Sound money beats a better chair. Read moreβ†’

From Fed corridors to Bitcoin's origin myth...

🎭 Polymarket Puts Adam Back as Top Satoshi Pick

Polymarket opened a market on who the Finding Satoshi documentary will identify as Bitcoin's creator, with Blockstream's Adam Back leading at 56 percent. Other candidates include Len Sassaman, Hal Finney, and Peter Todd, HBO's 2024 pick that Bitcoiners rejected.

Why it matters: The market prices the filmmakers' bias, not Satoshi's identity. Satoshi's real gift to Bitcoin was in vanishing. Untouched keys and a silent founder remove the single point of failure every rival network still carries. Read more→

Back to Wall Street...

πŸ“ˆ Goldman's First Bitcoin ETF Holds No Actual Bitcoin

Goldman Sachs filed a prospectus for its first Bitcoin ETF, the Goldman Sachs Bitcoin Premium Income ETF. The fund holds other Bitcoin exchange-traded products and sells call options on them for income, capping the upside when Bitcoin rallies hard.

Why it matters: Paper wrapped in paper, sold as yield. Investors get a Goldman ticker and a coupon, not bitcoin and not self-custody. Sovereign bitcoin in cold storage is still the better deal. Read more→

This week's OPSEC Feature Article shows you how to shrink the KYC trail you have already left, harden every exchange touchpoint going forward, and treat every centralised platform as a turnstile, never a vault.
