πŸ“Š Bitcoin ETFs Pull Inflows While Gold ETFs Bleed

JPMorgan reports that since February 27, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has attracted inflows of roughly 1.5% of assets under management (AUM) while the SPDR Gold Shares ETF (GLD) has seen outflows of about 2.7%. The bank reiterated a $266,000 long-term Bitcoin price target based on a volatility-adjusted gold comparison.

Why it matters: Institutions aren't debating whether Bitcoin belongs in the same conversation as gold anymore. They're measuring the divergence in real time. The bitcoin-to-gold volatility ratio has fallen to a record low of roughly 1.5, meaning Bitcoin has rarely been this relatively cheap against gold on a risk-adjusted basis. ETF fund flows reflect comparative demand, not destiny, but the direction is telling. Read more→

πŸ”§ Tether Backs Ark Labs' $5.2M Raise to Build Programmable Finance on Bitcoin

Ark Labs closed a $5.2 million seed round led by Tether, bringing total institutional capital to $7.7 million. Their Arkade platform enables instant, programmable transactions, stablecoin settlement, and embedded finance natively on Bitcoin.

Why it matters: Programmable payments, lending, capital markets, autonomous commerce. Everything altcoin projects promised they needed a separate chain to deliver is being built directly on Bitcoin with minimal protocol changes. It's very early days, but the sh!tcoin sales pitch just lost another talking point. Tether's CEO said stablecoins "were born on Bitcoin." The conservative base layer isn't a limitation, it's a foundation. Read more→

On the regulatory front...

πŸ” Paraguay Mandates Reporting for Bitcoin Transactions Over $5,000

Paraguay's National Directorate of Tax Revenue (DNIT) issued General Resolution No. 47/26 requiring disclosure of wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and counterparty information for transactions exceeding $5,000 annually. The rules cover purchases, sales, mining, staking, lending, and even transfers between personal wallets.

Why it matters: Centralized platforms are where transactional privacy goes to die, and every new reporting mandate makes them bigger honeypots for data leaks. Solutions like silent payments and payjoin need adoption faster than ever. One breach away from wrench attacks, as recent months have shown. Peer-to-peer rails aren't a preference anymore, they're a security requirement. Read more→
